WEST CHESTER - Senator Andy Dinniman recently unveiled the first Reference Guide to Nonprofit Cultural Organizations in Pennsylvania’s 19th District.
The guide is available at Senator Dinniman’s West Chester District Office or on his web site (click here to view the guide).
“Chester and Montgomery counties have long been home to a rich tradition of original expression and creative vision. Nonprofit cultural organizations contribute to the quality of life in our communities and to the continued success of our local economy,” Dinniman said. “I encourage both residents and visitors to use this guide in exploring the abundant cultural opportunities right here in our backyard.”
The cultural directory has descriptions and contact information for 80 nonprofit organizations in the region, including local historical societies, arts centers, museums, dance studios, film festivals, theater companies, musical groups, nature sanctuaries and community gardens. The guide also features contact information for the 12 public libraries located in the district.
In addition, Dinniman recently partnered with the Chester County Historical Society for a Celebration of the Arts in the 19th Senatorial District. Both Senator Dinniman and Darcie Goldberg, executive director of the Chester County Art Association, spoke about the importance of the arts and culture in communities.
