WEST WHITELAND (December 30) - State Senator Andy Dinniman recently secured $100,000 in funding for improvements and renovations to the Devereux Foundation’s Leo Kanner Center.
“Devereux has a long and rich history of reaching out to society’s most vulnerable members,” Dinniman said. “It is important that we continue to support its efforts to ensure that those with emotional, developmental and educational disabilities get the services they need.”
The funds will be used for the installation of shatter-resistant and energy efficient windows, as well as cafeteria renovations and improvements at the Kanner Center in West Whiteland. The center provides comprehensive treatment and support services to children and adolescents with emotional, developmental and educational disabilities.
Dinniman secured the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program funding through his leadership in the Senate. It was approved by the legislature as part of the 2008 budget.
