State Senator Andrew Dinniman recently presented Chester County Hospital officials with a check for $100,000 for the hospital’s expansion project.
The funds will go towards the West Pavilion Project, a new L-shaped wing that will house a CardioVascular Center and provide 72 additional beds and added rooms to improve patient comfort and ensure quality care.
“The Chester County Hospital is a non-profit, community hospital that helps maintain a strong quality of life in our community and gives residents and families peace of mind 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year,” Dinniman said. “So I was proud to secure state funding to make sure the hospital continues to grow, improve and serve us well for generations to come.”
Dinniman secured the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program funding through his leadership in the Senate. It was approved by the legislature as part of the 2008 budget.
“The difficult economy has made financing this project an even bigger challenge than usual for the Chester County Hospital,” Dinniman said. “But we can’t let that diminish the need to ensure that the hospital keeps up with regional growth and continues to provide us with the very latest in life-saving technology.”
