Dinniman Announces Arts Grants
Arts Programs in Chester, Montgomery County to Receive $143,485 in Total Funding

WEST CHESTER (November 19) - State Senator Andy Dinniman announced today that 10 arts organizations and programs in Chester and Montgomery counties will receive $143,485 in total state funding.
“Our arts and cultural organizations are important to the education of our children, the quality of life in our communities and the success of countless local economies across Pennsylvania,” Dinniman said. “And it is crucial that we continue to support them in their efforts and programs.”
The grants, which support the arts programs and operations of local nonprofit organizations, were recently approved by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts. They are as follows:
- $5,048 to the Brandywine Ballet Company;
- $10,379 to the Chester County Art Association;
- $7,028 to Historic Yellow Springs;
- $14,984 to PA Public Radio Associates;
- $69,376 to People’s Light and Theatre Company;
- $3,179 to Phoenix Village Art Center;
- $11,523 to the Suburban Philadelphia Arts in Education Consortium;
- $1,169 to West Whiteland Friends of the Park;
- $12,396 to Community Music School in Collegeville (Montgomery County); and
- $8,403 to Ursinus College’s Philip and Muriel Berman Museum of Art (Montgomery County).
Dinniman commended the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts for moving quickly to approve the grants and ensuring that local organizations continue receive vital state support, despite recent budget cuts.
