WEST CHESTER (November 24) –State Senator Andy Dinniman recently launched a food drive at his West Chester District Office.
“In these challenging economic times, it is crucial that we continue to step forward and answer the call of those in need,” Dinniman said. “I encourage all residents to donate just a few canned goods, or a gift card to ensure that no one goes hungry this holiday season.”
Residents are encouraged to drop off canned goods and gift cards from local supermarkets at Dinniman’s West Chester District Office, located at historic One North Church Street (the corner of Church and Market Streets) in downtown West Chester. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All donations will go to the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Salvation Army of West Chester.
Dinniman has been leading the call to feed the hungry since he helped found the Chester County Gleaning Program more than a decade ago. Since then, the program has collected and distributed more than 412 tons of fresh food and produce to those in need.
