WEST CHESTER (April 14) - Senator Dinniman today announced a $500,000 grant to GlaxoSmithKline to help pay for a 406 kW rooftop solar power system the company will install on its new data center in Upper Providence.
“This grant funding was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority earlier today and comes from the $650 million Alternative Energy Investment Fund program Pennsylvania created and approved in 2008,” said Dinniman. “This is the same fund that families can use to help them afford more insulation and better windows and in general, to assist them in making their homes more energy efficient and less costly to live in.”
“Investing in clean energy and energy conservation makes sense both in terms of the bottom line for homeowners, and in terms of protecting the natural resources of all Pennsylvanians,” Dinniman said.
