Welcome to the Reference Guide to Nonprofit Cultural Organizations for Residents of Pennsylvania’s 19th Senatorial District.

Chester and Montgomery counties have long been home to rich tradition of original expression, creative vision and inspirational artwork. The rolling fields, lush waterways and small-town streets have inspired generations. For many artists, the land itself and the people who live here have been worthy muse.

With that in mind, I’ve created this directory to showcase the vast array of unique cultural opportunities that the region has to offer. Whether you are looking to display original work or simply take in live performance or art show, look no further than this guide.

And as always, feel free to contact my office with any suggestions or possible additions. On the last page of this guide you will find form that you can fill out and mail to my office with your feedback.

Interspersed throughout the directory, I’ve also included sampling of poetry by local authors about local places. After all, the people and the places are what give the region such distinct sense of culture.

I hope this directory serves as reference, as you and your family explore the countless cultural opportunities waiting right here in our own backyard.
