Dinniman: 2018 Summer Internship Guides Available
WEST CHESTER – April 24, 2018 – State Senator Andy Dinniman encouraged high school and college students interested in obtaining an internship with a Pennsylvania State Agency access a copy of the 2018 Guide to Summer Internship Programs.
The online publication, which is filled with important information on dozens of internship programs with various state agencies, is available here.
“An internship in one of the Commonwealth’s agencies is a great way for young people to get a head start on their careers and gain on-the-job experience,” Dinniman said. “If you are in high school or college and looking for an internship in public service, I urge you to review the guide and see what opportunities are available.”
The guides include background and contact information for internship opportunities with state agencies like the Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Environmental Protection and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, among others.
Dinniman also urged interested students to act now as many of the programs have springtime application deadlines.
“Don’t delay as many of these programs are highly competitive and have upcoming application deadlines,” he said.
