Dinniman Announces $ 1.1 million for Multi-Use Trail in Tredyffrin
WEST CHESTER (November 14 ) – State Senator Andy Dinniman today announced that Tredyffrin will receive $ 1.1 million in federal funds for construction of a multi-use trail along the south side of East Central Avenue.
Township officials applied for the funds to build a 10-foot wide trail from Bear Hill Road to just west of Delaware Valley Friends School.
Tredyffrin’s successful application was one of 56 grants announced on Monday; all are for projects that enhance pedestrian and bicycle facilities or otherwise create trails that serve a transportation purpose.
Funds will also go toward enhanced pedestrian crosswalks, ADA compliance and stormwater management improvements.
“This trail will make it easier and more enjoyable to get around Tredyffrin on foot or on bike and should align very nicely with township officials’ design goals for the entire Paoli Transportation Center area,” Dinniman said.
