Dinniman: Food and Coat Drive Continues Through the Holidays
WEST CHESTER (December 20) – As the holidays approach, state Senator Andy Dinniman reminded residents, families, and businesses to visit his West Chester District Office to donate canned goods or coats to benefit those in need this season.
“We continue to collect canned goods and nonperishable food items year-round for the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Salvation Army of West Chester,” Dinniman said. “And again this year, we are collecting coats for hospitalized and homeless veterans.”
Through a partnership with local nonprofit David’s Drive 831, new or gently worn, clean coats are being collected until December 30. The greatest need is for coats in larger sizes.
“Stop by, say hello and donate few canned goods or a coat to help brighten someone else’s holiday. Together, let’s work to help ensure that no one is left hungry or cold this holiday season,” Dinniman said.
The District Office is located at historic One North Church Street (the corner of Church and Market Streets). It is regularly open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please be sure to check expiration dates on food items.
