Dinniman Recognizes Charlie Vogel
WEST CHESTER (January 13) – Senator Andy Dinniman recently recognized Charlie Vogel of East Goshen on his 99th birthday and for his continued service to the community through a number of civic organizations.
“I have known Charlie for years and he has always been willing to step up and give back to the community,” Dinniman said. “Through his work with Hershey’s Mill Community Television and as treasurer of Meal on Wheels of Chester County, Charlie has been and remains an inspiration and a role model of how to stay active and involved in your golden years.”
Dinniman presented Vogel with a special Senate citation in recognition of his decades of service to various local community groups and nonprofit organizations.
A member of Bucknell University’s Class of 1937, Vogel has been an active coordinator of its college reunions and fundraising activities. As a resident of Hershey’s Mill, he also helps run the community’s television station and anchors several of the programs.
Vogel, who enjoyed 70 years of marriage to his wife, Virginia Fisher Vogel prior to her passing in 2011, is the father of two children, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
