Dinniman Recognizes West Chester Seniors
WEST CHESTER (December 4, 2018) – Senator Andy Dinniman recently visited the West Chester Area Senior Center to recognize residents who have reached 90 years or older with special Senate Certificates of Recognition.
“It’s always important to take time to talk with our seniors, hear their stories, and stay in touch with their opinions, views, and concerns,” Dinniman said. “I always enjoy visiting senior centers, especially during this time of year, to catch up with old friends, make new ones, and help ensure that everyone experiences the warmth and joy of the holiday season.”
Since taking office, Dinniman has visited senior centers and senior living communities throughout the region to offer birthday wishes to almost 1,000 seniors each year who are part of his 90+ Birthday Program. Under the program, area seniors 90 years and older receive special certificates on their birthdays.
Dinniman said the 90+ Birthday Program is part of his effort to not only recognize the vast contributions of the senior community but also to ensure that local seniors are receiving all the support and services Pennsylvania has to offer, from tax rebates to medical assistance.
