Dinniman met with Garthwaite and his family to recognize his service and bravery by presenting him with a United State flag and a Pennsylvania flag that have been flown over the state capitol in Harrisburg.

“This young man exemplifies the best and the brightest of what our region and our nation have to offer. He is one tough Marine,” Dinniman said. “I want to thank him for his service and offer my best wishes for a full recovery. I must also recognize the Garthwaite family that, like so many military families, has shouldered the sacrifices of having a loved one serve overseas and in combat.”
