WEST CHESTER (December 3) – State Senator Andy Dinniman encouraged residents, families and businesses to visit his West Chester District Office to donate canned goods or coats to benefit those in need this holiday season.

“We continue to collect canned goods and nonperishable food items year-round for the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Salvation Army of West Chester, but this holiday season the need is especially great,” Dinniman said.

The District Office is located at historic One North Church Street (the corner of Church and Market Streets). It is regularly open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please be sure to check expiration dates on food items.

In addition, Dinniman has again partnered with local nonprofit David’s Drive 831 to collect new or gently worn, clean coats for hospitalized and homeless veterans. That collection will run until December 30 and the greatest need is for coats in larger sizes.

“Stop by, say hello and donate few canned goods, or a coat to help brighten someone else’s holiday. Together, let’s work to help ensure that no one is left hungry or cold this holiday season.”
