Dinniman to Hold May 13 Telephone Town Hall Meeting on Education and Property Taxes
WEST CHESTER (April 6) – State Senator Andy Dinniman announced that he will hold a live telephone town hall meeting for constituents on Wednesday, May 13 at 7 p.m.
The meeting will focus on issues and legislation involving public education and property taxes in Pennsylvania. However, questions and comments on any number of other state and local issues will be accepted.
“Public education in Pennsylvania is facing a watershed moment and there are a number of important questions on the table,” Dinniman said. “All of them must be addressed in the context of the most overriding concerns I hear from constituents – the need to lower property taxes.”
At the time of the meeting, constituents will receive a phone call on their land lines with instructions on how to participate. Dinniman will discuss key state and local issues affecting Chester County and answer constituents’ questions live.
“You simply need to answer the call to participate in the conversation. You will then be connected and receive information on how to take part in the town hall,” Dinniman said. “In the meantime, I encourage you to ensure you are on the list of participants by signing up here and invite you to submit questions ahead of time.”
In addition to the telephone town hall meeting, Dinniman sends regular e-mail updates to constituents on the issues that matter to them and communicates with them through both Facebook and Twitter. Sign up for e-mail updates here.
“These telephone town halls are a great way for me to keep in touch with you and the issues that are important to you,” Dinniman said. “So, make sure you are on the list of participants and don’t forget to answer your phone on May 13. I look forward to talking with you and answering any questions you may have because the best feedback I get comes from you – the people of Chester County.”
