Dinniman Urges Businesses Severely Hurt by February Storms To Report Losses to Chester County
WEST CHESTER (February 21) – State Senator Andy Dinniman urges small businesses that suffered substantial economic damage from the recent storms to report such losses to Chester County’s Department of Emergency Services through its web site.
Dinniman said it is important for economically damaged Chester County businesses to report their losses through the web site http://www.chesco.org/index.aspx?nid=217 in order for the U.S. Small Business Administration to consider all Chester County businesses eligible for U.S. Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loans.
“County officials said they must show that at least five county businesses suffered ‘sustained substantial economic jury’ from loss of sales due to the snow and ice storms that hit us between Feb. 4 and Feb. 15 in order for our businesses to be considered for these federal disaster loans, so it’s important that I fulfill their request to help spread the word about this crucial reporting,” Dinniman said.
The reports must be submitted by March 7 in order for the SBA to see there is a need to make such loans available in Chester County. If the federal government deems Chester County businesses eligible for the disaster loans, it will announce the loan process including application deadlines.
