Dear Friend –

I would like to wish you and your family Happy Holidays and all the best for a healthy and prosperous New Year.

I want to remind you that my West Chester District Office continues to serve as a year-round collection point for canned goods and nonperishable food items for those in need.

My office, located at historic One North Church Street (corner of Church and Market streets), is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please be sure to check expiration dates on food items. All donations go to the West Chester Food Cupboard and the Salvation Army of West Chester.

In addition, this year we again have partnered with local nonprofit David’s Drive 831 to collect coats for hospitalized and homeless veterans. We will be collecting new or gently worn, clean men’s coats for hospitalized and homeless veterans through December 30, and the greatest need is for coats in larger sizes.

You are also welcome join us for an Open House during the West Chester Old-Fashioned Christmas Parade, this Friday, December 5 beginning at 6:15 p.m. In addition to an ideal location for parade viewing, our event will feature light refreshments and a performance by the Chancel Bell Ringers of West Chester First Presbyterian Church. I encourage you to stop by and donate just a few canned goods or a coat to ensure that no one is left hungry or cold this holiday season.

This year and every year, it is crucial that we to step forward and answer the call of those in need. Your assistance could be the difference in keeping a veteran warm or making a local family’s holiday special.

Thank you and I hope to see you on Friday,

Andy Dinniman
