WEST CHESTER (January 2, 2018) – State Senator Andy Dinniman recently recognized Thomas Egan, Ph.D. on his retirement from service to East Bradford Township and Mark Blair on his retirement from service to West Bradford Township.
Egan and Blair both gave 37 years of service to their respective townships, both beginning in 1980 on the municipal planning commissions. They both retired at the end of 2017.
Dinniman presented Egan and Blair each with a special Senate citation in honor of the milestone.
“I want to thank Tom Egan and Mark Blair for their decades of service to East and West Bradford Townships, respectively,” Dinniman said. “Combined, both men have given nearly 75 years to our region and embodied the spirit of civic service, volunteerism, and dedication. Throughout their careers, they have striven to adhere to the highest standards of excellence, they have earned the respect and admiration of their colleagues, and they worked to make their communities – East and West Bradford – better places to live, work, and raise a family.”
Egan was elected to the East Bradford Board of Supervisors in 1988. He served five consecutive terms and was chair of the board of supervisors upon his retirement.
Blair was elected to the West Bradford Board of Supervisors in 1992 and was chair of the board of supervisors upon his retirement.
