WEST CHESTER (August 29, 2019) – The Chester County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge No. 11 recently celebrated its 75th Anniversary.
State Senator Andy Dinniman was on hand at the Chester County FOP Lodge 11 picnic to present President Steve Plaugher with an official Senate citation in honor of the milestone anniversary.
“Chester County is fortunate to have some of the best and most highly-trained police, emergency, and law enforcement professionals in the nation and the world,” Dinniman said. “And over time, the FOP has grown with our county to meet the public safety needs of our communities. I want to thank all of our police officers and law enforcement personnel for their service, as well as the FOP and its leaders and supporters.”
The Chester County FOP Lodge 11 represents over 800 active and retired law enforcement officers from over 50 police departments here in Chester County.
It was established in 1944 and is committed to improving the working conditions of officers and the safety of those they serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement and employee representation.
The Fraternal Order of Police is the world’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers with over 325,000 members in more than 2,100 lodges.
