Metal of Honor Grove

Dear Friend –

Honor Our VetsYou’re invited to join me for a special event to honor our veterans this Saturday, September 24 at 10 a.m. at the Medal of Honor Grove.

The period of 2015-17 marks the:

  • 100th Anniversary of WWI
  • 75th Anniversary of WWII
  • 65th Anniversary of the Korean War
  • 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War
  • 25th Anniversary of the Gulf War

These milestones call for us to come together to remember the fallen, as well as honor all of our nation’s heroes and veterans of all branches of the military from throughout our history.

The ceremony will feature remarks from retired Army Colonel Walter J. Marm, Pennsylvania’s only living Medal of Honor recipient, as well as Lt. Governor Mike Stack and Pennsylvania Adjutant General, Brigadier General Tony Carrelli.

The Medal of Honor Grove is the nation’s oldest memorial site dedicated to Medal of Honor recipients, and we are honored to have it call Chester County home. The Grove is located at the headquarters of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge at 1601 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville.

Please join me this Saturday to honor our veterans and recognize all who served and continue to serve in defense of our nation and the cause of freedom. More information is available here.
