Dear Friend,

Residents and families throughout Pennsylvania have real and valid concerns regarding pipeline construction activities and the potential threats to their health, safety, and well-being.

On Tuesday, October 17 at 11 a.m. I am holding a press conference and rally at the State Capitol in Harrisburg for citizens to stand up and make their voices heard.

Senator Andy DinnimanThe event will begin with a press conference in the Capitol Media Center where we will announce a bipartisan package of legislation aimed to improve safety along pipeline routes.

In addition, we will be joined by members of the Uwchlan Safety Coalition, concerned residents, homeowners and parents, and representatives of various environmental and public safety organizations in calling on Governor Wolf to halt pipeline drilling and construction activities until adequate inspection and safety measures are implemented.

Immediately afterward, residents and community members will hand-deliver a petition and letters to the governor’s office before beginning an afternoon of lobbying efforts in Harrisburg.

In Chester County and the surrounding region, we have serious concerns regarding Mariner East, but this is a statewide issue with individuals and families across the Commonwealth impacted by the seemingly endless number of pipeline projects that are either already underway or on the horizon.

All are welcome to join us in Harrisburg on Tuesday, Oct. 17 to stand up for the health and safety of our communities.
