Dear Friend,

Christmas ParadeYou’re invited to stop by my West Chester District Office this Friday evening (December 6) during the 40th Annual West Chester Christmas Parade (please take note of the parade route and local road closures).

In addition to being an ideal location for parade viewing, we will again feature a live performance by the Chancel Bell Ringers of the West Chester First Presbyterian Church beginning at about 6 p.m.

And as always, please know that we continue to serve as a year-round collection point for canned goods and nonperishable food items for those in need.

The office, located at historic One North Church Street (corner of Church and Market streets), is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please be sure to check expiration dates on food items. All donations go to the West Chester Food Cupboard.

In addition, we are again collecting coats for hospitalized and homeless veterans. Through a partnership with local nonprofit David’s Drive 831, new or gently worn, clean coats are being collected through December. The greatest need is for coats in larger sizes.

I encourage you to stop by, enjoy the bell ringers, and donate some canned goods or a coat to help ensure that no one is left cold or hungry this holiday season.

This year and every year, it is crucial that we continue to step forward and answer the call of our neighbors in need. Your assistance could be the difference in making a local family’s holiday special.

Thank you and I wish you and your family Happy Holidays and all the best for a healthy and prosperous New Year.
